Goga Vukmirovic, Founder & Managing Partner
Goga has investment experience in a wide range asset classes, in public and private markets, from a multi-billion dollar hedge fund to early stage venture capital. Goga brings a finance-focused, and research-driven approach to real estate investing, with the goal of identifying unconventional perspectives and avoiding hidden risks. She founded Avente Capital in 2015 after spending over seven years at Eton Park Capital Management. Prior to Eton Park, Goga worked at CHL Medical Partners, an early stage venture capital firm, and Whitney & Co., a private equity firm. Goga holds an AB in Molecular Biology from Princeton University, a JD from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Joan Kim, Senior Vice President
Joan began her entrepreneurial work in the non-profit sector, co-founding and serving of Director of the highly regarded New York non-profit start-up and retail venture 826NYC, Inc. After attending business school, she moved to the private sector, joining Avente Capital in 2016. At Avente Capital, Joan is focused on acquisitions and asset management across the portfolio. Joan holds an AB from Princeton University and an MBA from Yale School of Management.
James McConnell, Acquisitions
James joined Avente Capital in July 2018 after graduating from Columbia University with high honors. James focuses on acquisitions in the South and Southeastern US. Previously, James held internships as a financial analyst at Redwood Realty, a brokerage firm that operates throughout the NY-NJ-CT region, and at Real Estate Growth Advisors, a private equity fund that is run by the former head of AIG’s Eastern Portfolio and that operates throughout the NJ-PA region.
Conor Hussey, Acquisitions
Conor joined Avente Capital in 2021, with a focus on acquisitions in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Previously, Conor was at WeWork, where, most recently, he worked on the disposition of the historic Lord & Taylor Building to Amazon for $1.15 billion. His prior work experience includes stints at Highpoint Property Group, a local NYC developer, and Marcus & Millichap, with their Brooklyn investment sales team. Conor was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park.
